Students have been planning for next year's classes and should be able to show you their options and selections for next year soon. Please review your student's course requests with them for next year. We will be hosting an informational presentation at Gibbon High School on Monday, May 11, at 6:30 pm for incoming 7th & 8th graders and at 7:00 pm for incoming 9th-12th grade students. Topics will include graduation requirements, course requests, dual-credit options, and more. We look forward to seeing you on May 11.

Congratulations to Keaton Heikkinen and Riley Bergstrom on qualifying for the Central Nebraska Track Championships in Grand Island today. Keaton qualified in both the long and triple jump and Riley in the long jump and 100m dash (will run-off for the 8th qualifying spot at 4:30). Competition starts at 3pm at Northwest High. #GoBuffs!

Gibbon FBLA had 15 members compete at the 2026 State Leadership Conference with many accomplishments and awards received on Thursday evening and Saturday morning! Our chapter nominated Matt Smallcomb, City of Gibbon Administrator, as the Local Businessperson of the Year. Ivy Noller placed 2nd in Impromptu Speaking, Olivia Piper placed 2nd in MS Digital Citizenship, Jackie Ramirez & Abbie Miller placed 5th in Local Annual Business Report, Jackie & Andrea Montanez placed 4th in Public Service Announcement, Caden Jones placed 8th in MS Career Exploration & two Honorable Mention awards in MS Career Exploration & Computer Applications. Abbie Miller was the Who's Who in FBLA recipient. Ximena Urbina, Reuben Reyes & Abbie Miller received the All-State Quality Award. Haidyn McKinley, Dulce Ramirez & Ximena Urbina received recognition on their Business Achievement Awards. Our chapter also received numerous honors and recognition as a Gold Level Champion Chapter, Gold Seal of Merit Award, Sweepstakes Award, and numerous state Ribbon Projects. Many thanks to our MS Adviser, Mrs. McKay for her support and guidance for the Middle School Chapter. We appreciate all the support our school, community and local businesses provide to our chapter. Great work Gibbon FBLA and congratulations to Ivy & Olivia for advancing to the 2026 FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas this June 28-July 3!
