Building the Future: Meet Joctan Romero!
We are proud to announce Joctan Romero of Gibbon as the recipient of the $2,000 Dawson PPD Pathways to Power Scholarship!
Joctan is headed to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this fall to study Civil Engineering. His goal? To strengthen the very infrastructure that keeps our communities powered.
"My decision to pursue civil engineering is driven by a desire to strengthen the physical infrastructure of the electric utility industry," Joctan shared. "Civil engineering provides the knowledge and tools needed to build stronger, smarter, and more efficient infrastructure."
Beyond his technical interests, Joctan is a leader in his community, from designing Spanish lessons for elementary students to helping classmates prepare for life after graduation through The Compass Project.
At Dawson PPD, we believe in investing in the talent and potential of our local youth.
Join us in celebrating Joctan’s hard work and bright future!
