The Gibbon Public Schools Fall Sports Schedule is about to begin and we wanted to provide a few nuggets of information.
You will find a number of upgrades when you enter the sports complex. Those include; 1) A cement sidewalk that runs along the north end of the track and takes our visitors to the east side of the football field, 2) Stands have been added on the east side of the football field for visitors attending the football game, and 3) A gazebo along with picnic tables have been added on the west side of the football field. These upgrades are intended to improve the atmosphere and experience when watching our youth compete.
New this year, and beginning with our football game against Ravenna on September 4th, patrons will be able to pay admission using either cash, debit or credit cards.
The game vs. Ravenna on September 4th starts at 3:00 p.m. School will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. The early game is primarily due to the shortage of officials and when they are available to officiate our game.
Pets are not allowed anywhere on school campus or in the athletic complex. Although we are focused on safety and security for all our guests, this rule primarily concentrates on the little “gifts” pets tend to leave behind that create hazards for all our guests.

Traffic Flow: Drop-off and Pick-up: Our main goal is to keep all students safe and this includes arriving at school. This can be accomplished by remembering a few basic procedures: There is ONE lane of traffic for drop off. Students should be dropped off on the CURB side of the car. This ensures that students will not be hurt by moving vehicles. Two lanes of drop-off traffic is dangerous for our students.
The drop-off lane is a quick process. The car stops, the students get out, the car leaves. IF you are needing to get out of your car to help your child, please park in the designated parking stalls.
