Elementary Gibbon Greats:
Each classroom teacher is able to nominate two students from their class that are responsible, respectful, and show leadership qualities each month. The elementary Gibbon Greats program has an exciting twist this year! There will be two additional students that will be nominated. We will have two staff members that will nominate a student each month. The students were able to try their luck on guessing the two staff members for October. One lucky winner guessed both teachers correctly!

CONFERENCE CROSS COUNTRY POSTPONED: The louplatte conference cross country meet scheduled for Tuesday at Centura Hills has been moved to Thursday, 10/4/23 @ 4pm. Go Buffs!
GIRLS GOLF DISTRICTS - POSTPONED: The girls district golf meet scheduled for Tuesday @ Indianhead has been moved to Wednesday 10/4/23 due to the weather forecast. The first tee time for the tournament will be 9am. Go Buffs!
If you ordered your child a coat from the United Way, they have been delivered to the ELEMENTARY office at school. Please make arrangements to pick the coat up during the hours of 7:30 and 4:00. If you would like the coat sent home with your child, please let the office know and we will send it home.

Seventh grade math students solve a puzzle with multiplying fractions. This is an example on how our elementary and junior high math teachers collaborate. The teachers have been intentionally aligning their curriculum so they are both teaching fractions at the same time.

Today some of our FFA members had the opportunity to attend the FFA edge leadership conference. These members met the Nebraska state FFA officers, networked with other FFA members, and learned new leadership skills that they can bring back to our chapter.
