Today during 1st period all students 5th through 12th grade were read the following message. At Gibbon Public Schools there is a group of staff members who meet when something serious happens to one of our students or staff members to provide accurate and factual information. Today we are talking with you because this is one of those times. Braxton Schoff an 9th grader here at Gibbon Public Schools who has been battling Leukemia has come to a point in his treatment that the chemotherapy he is currently on is no longer working. They have just found out that he is given the choice to continue with a new chemo and a bone marrow aspiration that would give him a 30% chance of survival or no treatment which will give him weeks to months to live. Braxton has made the choice to continue with chemo and on Monday he will have a bone marrow aspiration done in Omaha. As you can imagine this is hard on him and his entire family. On Friday we would like to show our support for him by wearing orange which honors those diagnosed with Leukemia. We would love for everyone to participate and be there for one of our own. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Mrs. Waddle or Mr. Greenwalt.

Padres:
