Second grade was learning about inventions. One of the inventions in our lesson was electric smart glass so we took a little field trip over to the high school office where we have some smart glass! The students were surprised when Dr. Fisher and Mr. Kelley appeared when the smart glass was switched from frosted to see-through.
Gibbon Junior High Football ended its season with a perfect record of 6-0 after defeating Doniphan-Trumbull on Tuesday. Congratulations!!

This year to promote Red Ribbon Week, living a healthy lifestyle and helping others, we will be having a K-12 Food/Toiletry Drive! What better way to promote healthy living, than by helping others!
From October 29th through November 1st, each grade will be tasked with bringing an item for the Buff’s Cupboard (our school pantry). Below is the list of items that each grade is responsible for!
PK-Canned, cups, or dried fruit
K- Soup
1st- Spices or seasonings
2nd- Sauces (Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo)
3rd- Dried pasta/noodles
4th- Paper goods
5th- Snacks
6th- Breakfast
7th- Condiments

10th Hair care (Shampoo-Conditioner, brushes)
11th- Juices or Gallon Waters

Join us in celebrating the final home game of the season for the Gibbon volleyball team on Thursday, October 24 starting at 5 PM. This game will be a special "Pink Out" event to show support for Breast Cancer patients, survivors, and ongoing research efforts.

Today, the school conducted a "Shelter" Drill. "Shelter" is part of the district's Emergency Response Protocols and takes place during severe weather conditions. When "Shelter" is called, students and staff are instructed to move into designated areas.

FOOTBALL TODAY UPDATE - Due to the weather forecast there will be no JV game in Gibbon today. The JV game will NOT be rescheduled. The JH game scheduled in Doniphan will NOT be played today. We're working on rescheduling it. There is JH FB practice today from 2:30 to 3:30.
