LPC VB - COVID UPDATE
The Conference Executive Board approved the protocol that masks will be required for entrance and worn during all VB conference games. The tournament begins Monday in Centura. A mask is required for entrance and required while attending the game.
There will be a Fine Arts Boosters Meeting on Tuesday, October 13, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is for parents of students in the various fine arts programs. Meeting topics include: our current programs, a new art curriculum, inductions of new officers, the music trip, and marketing/membership. The meeting will be held via zoom. The level of risk for Buffalo County is still in the orange, "Elevated" Section, and has raised significantly this week. Gibbon Public Schools will continue to exercise current precautionary measures while at school and when attending activities.

Practice, hard work, and experience makes a difference. Although the girls golf team did not qualify for state, the same team that competed on the same course (Indianhead) for districts last year improved their team score by 84 strokes yesterday! Congrats on a great season.

The volleyball game with Overton tomorrow night, Tuesday, will begin at 5:30. There will be no freshmen game as Overton does not have a freshmen team.
This Friday's football game versus Centura will be broadcast on 98.9 FM "Power99" and online at platteriverpreps.com. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm.
The Gibbon Girls Golf Team finished a busy week competing at the Centura Invite today. The team placed 4th out of 9 teams and brought home 3 medals--Daniela Corona T12, Melany Vasquez 14th, and Maribel Gutierrez earned her first individual medal finishing in 15th.

Gibbon Public Schools has initiated new precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at all athletic events and activities. MASKS are now REQUIRED to be worn at all times. This includes when entering and leaving district facilities and while in attendance at the event.
