Gibbon Nation! You may have heard the school district is opening a school pantry. Buff’s Cupboard was created with the idea that a variety of clothing and food items could be made available to students and families who might need some support. Food was selected to include items that would be easily prepared by students. Most of the food is non-perishable, such as snack foods, canned goods, dry beans, pasta, and macaroni and cheese. Students and families will also have access to some toiletries and clothing.
Buff’s Cupboard is currently well stocked thanks to some very generous donations from Veterans Education Training and Support (V.E.T.S.) and Gibbon Faith United Methodist Church. As the pantry is used we will need to replenish supplies. We will be accepting donations on the 3rd Friday of each month. If that happens to be on a holiday we will accept donations on the following Friday. Donations will also be accepted during special events at school, which will be approved by administration and communicated ahead of time. Cash donations are welcome at any time. All donations will be accepted in the elementary or high school office. We would appreciate clothing donations that are in “new” or “gently used” condition.
