On May 5, members of Gibbon FBLA participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kickoff event at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. Attending the event were Gibbon FBLA Advisor Mrs. Stroh, Chapter President Abbie Miller, and Vice President Korbyn Smallcomb.
The evening began at 5 p.m. with a kickoff tailgate featuring food, games, and a presentation from guest speaker Brenden Stai. During his remarks, Stai emphasized the importance of communities coming together to raise awareness and support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
The event concluded with participants taking part in the iconic Tunnel Walk through Memorial Stadium to officially launch the Walk to End Alzheimer’s campaign. The kickoff was designed to promote awareness and raise funds for Alzheimer’s research, care, and support services.
Participants returned home with colorful flower pinwheels, a symbol of memory, remembrance, and the lasting connection shared with loved ones impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.
