goodfellows

On December 21, 2025, members of the Gibbon Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter dedicated their time and energy to serving others through the Buffalo County Goodfellows holiday project. Their efforts focused on helping local families enjoy a brighter holiday season during a time of year that can be challenging for many.

FBLA members joined community volunteers to organize gifts, assemble food baskets using donations from the Give Where You Live campaign, and support distribution efforts. A new partnership was also formed with the Gibbon Faith United Methodist Church, strengthening community connections and expanding support for families in need.

Through their teamwork and positive attitudes, Gibbon FBLA members helped 37 families and more than 70 children celebrate Christmas with food, gifts, and encouragement. The service event highlighted the power of students working together for a common purpose.

Advisers noted that the experience offered students more than just volunteer hours—it showed them firsthand how leadership encompasses compassion, responsibility, and community involvement. By dedicating their time and effort, FBLA members have demonstrated that they care deeply about their community and are committed to making a positive difference.

The project not only brightened the holidays for local families but also reinforced FBLA’s mission of service and leadership in action.
