The Gibbon FBLA Chapter hosted an Alzheimer's Awareness Walk/Fundraiser focused on raising awareness and support for this disease, our new national FBLA charity. We sold many bracelets and face tattoos, each designed to symbolize hope, love, and remembrance for those affected by Alzheimer’s. The fundraiser took place at the last varsity football game vs. Superior, allowing students, staff, and fans to participate easily by walking around the track during halftime. All the money we raised was dedicated to supporting Alzheimer’s research and assisting families affected by the disease. Along with raising funds, we also worked to educate our community about Alzheimer’s and the importance of early detection and care. This event gave our chapter a chance to make a positive impact, bring people together for a meaningful cause, and show that even small actions, like buying a bracelet or face tattoo, could help create awareness and change lives.
